Mt. Lebanon School District provides numerous applications and tools that may be overwhelming if they were all kept separate. There was a need for a central location to go for everything that an employee needed. I developed the Employee Portal with the following features:
- Teacher has the same Home Page no matter which computer they use
- Dynamic tabs containing informational widgets or embedded URLs
- Widgets can be drag and dropped into a custom order
- Widgets can be added from a library
- Employees can create their own Widgets from RSS Feeds
- Human Resource section (time off requests, benefit information etc.)
- Bookmark section for common websites
- Tools tab that provides links, help and SSO access
